Week 8: Faithfulness

Day 1
   Verse: Psalms 36:5
Reflection: How high is the sky? How far are the heavens? Does that mean God's faithfulness is little or big? God's faithfulness is huge! That means God always keeps His promises, we can trust what He says.
Fruit: Name something huge to remind you how big God's faithfulness is.

Day 2
   Verse: Psalms 36:5
Reflection: Faithfulness also means having faith in God. God knows what is best for us and made laws for us to follow. We must trust that God's word is true and that God will keep his promises.
Fruit: What is something you have trouble trusting God with?

Day 3
   Verse: Romans 12:12
Reflection: Sometimes when we pray for things it seems like our prayers are never answered. But we can't give up hope, we have to keep praying. Sometimes God waits a long time before answering our prayer because He knows the right time to answer it. And sometimes He answers our prayers in a different way than we think He will.
Fruit: What do you pray for often that you are still waiting for an answer?

Day 4
   Verse: Romans 12:12
Reflection: We can pray for our friends to have faith. Not all our friends know about God and His love for us. We can be patient and pray for our friends every day, even if it takes years for them to know and love God.
Fruit: Which friend are you going to pray for this week?

Day 5
   Verse: Proverbs 20:28
Reflection: Being faithful means keeping promises. Has anyone ever asked you to do something for them? Did you do it? What promises have you made that are hard to keep (listening, sharing, not fighting)? We can be faithful by trying hard to keep the promises we make.
Fruit: What promise are you going to try hard to keep?

Day 6
   Verse: Proverbs 20:28
Reflection: We can be faithful to our friends by being loyal to them. We are nice to them and always happy to see them. We respect them and don't say mean things about them. If they do something to hurt us, we forgive them. We should always encourage our friends to do the right thing!
Fruit: Name a friend you want to be more loyal to.

Day 7
   Verse: Proverbs 20:28
Reflection: Being honest means telling the truth. When you tell the truth, people know they can believe you. If you often lie to people, they might not trust you. They might think you're not telling them the truth even when you are. People have faith in you when they know you are honest and can count on them to tell the truth.
Fruit: Write, "Truth." Share a time when it was hard to tell the truth.
